Dear friend, here are some common causes for low energy. Feeling a lack of energy, or fatigue, is a common experience that often stems from lifestyle factors such as inadequate sleep, poor diet, or high stress. While occasional tiredness is normal, persistent exhaustion can be a sign of underlying issues that may require adjustments or medical advice.

Here are the primary reasons for low energy and steps you can take to boost it:

Common Causes of Low Energy

  • Sleep Problems: Not getting hours of quality sleep, having an inconsistent sleep schedule, or snoring can cause daytime fatigue.
  • Stress & Mental Health: Chronic stress, anxiety, and depression can lead to emotional exhaustion and a “fatigued” feeling.
  • Poor Nutrition: Skipping meals, not eating enough, or consuming too much sugar can cause energy crashes.
  • Dehydration: Mild dehydration can cause tiredness and reduced concentration.
  • Sedentary Lifestyle: A lack of regular physical activity can cause you to feel more tired.
  • Nutrient Deficiencies: Deficiencies in iron (anemia), Vitamin D, or Vitamin B12 are common, particularly if you’re experiencing unexplained fatigue.

We are currently living in a highly emotionally charged atmosphere. When the energy is shifting within you, paying attention to what the body needs, paying attention to your supplementation and your nutrition is extremely important.

What are you taking in?

It must be not only what you are taking in nutritionally but also emotionally. What are you listening to and viewing? This can be off-putting and can disrupt sleep.

Sometimes, when you awakened, it is due to being too far into the future, worrying about what may happen, or being in the past, ruminating on something that has already occurred and how you would have changed those moments.

To get back to sleep if you’re ruminating or you’re thinking about the next day, get out of bed, write down whatever it is, and then go back to bed.

Then your mind can rest, and you’ll be reminded of what to do the next day. Permit yourself to know that you have learned from the past. Give yourself love. Be proud of yourself and grateful for those opportunities.

It’s how you program the mind and the body. Listen to the body and it can serve you well by telling where you might be depleted, nutritionally. Your body will always speak to you. That will assist sleep.

When you cannot sleep, do something different.

Don’t use technology. Get out of bed and move your body. Write down a note to remind yourself or if you’ve had a dream, write the dream down and then lay back down.

It’s a reset pattern interrupt. That will allow you to relax the mind and the body.

Until next time, make this a month in which you live your life to the fullest.
